Dr. Howard Fuller is a longtime civil rights activist and school reform advocate who supports “parent choice.” He believes that parents should have the power to choose schools instead of schools having the power to choose them. He calls it self-determination.
Fuller has taken his conviction to almost all of the Democratic debate sites. Charter parents have a total of zero champions running for the Democratic nomination, with the exception of Michael Bloomberg. And we know from experience that a candidate’s position on parent choice can sway an election.
Per usual, Dr. Fuller did not mince words in Las Vegas.
