Video: Is Homeschooling Under Attack?

Project Forever Free (PFF) is grateful for the opportunity to host a conversation about homeschooling, especially in the wake of the recent article in Harvard Magazine that has roiled the homeschooling community in its one-sidedness and inaccuracies.

For reference, when they discuss the illustration in Harvard Magazine used to depict homeschooling, here it is:

Notice the bars on the window, the names of the books used to build the house and all the non-homeschooled children playing outside.

I am far from an expert on homeschooling since I have not studied the issue in any depth or homeschooled my own children—so I turned to the experts for help. Kerry McDonald, Jason Bedrick and Corey DeAngelis joined me for a live-streamed conversation on the PFF Facebook page.

Please watch and let us know what you think—and what you learn.

(In the moments when I’m on mute and it looks like I’m telling people in my house to be quiet, that’s because I am. But considering my husband, three sons and two dogs were all home with me, I’m calling it a success!)
